Raised in a quiet corner of East Hampton, NY grew up immersed in the rhythms of quiet coastal living. His journey to Nosara began at age 10, when a family friend who had been part of the community since the early 80s introduced his family to this special corner of Costa Rica. From that first visit, he was captivated by the waves, the welcoming community, and the unique spirit of Nosara.
After graduating from college in Los Angeles, Malachy combined his love for Nosara with a successful career in tech, working remotely as a product engineer while maintaining his connection to the community. His relationship with Nosara spans over 15 years – first as a wide-eyed kid on family vacations, then as a tourist, and now as a full-time resident. This unique perspective, coupled with his experience working both in the United States and locally, gives him a comprehensive understanding of the different possibilities and lifestyles that Nosara can offer.
When not working, you'll find him in the lineup at his favorite surf breaks or practicing Foundation Training and yoga. While the waves of Nosara are his home base, he's equally at home charging down the slopes at Snowbird, Utah, where he spends a few weeks out of the year.
